I like the practice bit. And if you enjoy something, and live it every day and do it all the time, you'll get good at it. If you hate something, and you have to force yourself to do it, I wouldn't bother, and I'd look for som

Good to hear, thanks. I'll dredge up what I was thinking of soon.

I'll have to read the spec I guess, but I think you're right. I just vaguely recall hearing some concerning stuff, maybe that was something else (SPYDY or whatever that was?). If TBL has ratified it I'm no one to argue.

Weren't there some nasty DRM things put into HTTP 2.0? That's going back a while, but I thought there was something nefarious going on.

Ubuntu lost me with me the abortive Unity interface, and sending my queries back to base.

Edit: Even had a few Steam games transfer over, which was cool. I've had some issues with Java support, but most people wouldn't care about that, and fairly random, as in the Toolbar support. I don't particularly trust who ow

Mint has been my choice. I'm not 100% happy with it, but its the best I've found so far for a desktop experience.

I agree, I think a good exercise/weight session is equally as good, if not better. Or both. We're pretty sedentary beasts, and I think that can cause a lot of problems.

Tempted to apply and send them some NSA-ridden hard drives to get them started.

Gah. Bring on my IT union. I'll get the ball rolling if need be. Long as I don't get shot by affiliates of Jobs who like making wage agreements.

Its flexible, that's the real draw. I'd definitely go for it, being one of the "creatives".

Surely you are trolling? $3 or pounds per hour in the UK? If you have enough brains to learn coding or a web technology, you have enough brains not to do that. I think I've been trolled.

Think we have it in Aussie, the 417 ? visa, whereby you can undercut locals with very, very shit talent. These guys should hit them up.

Those ones really crack me up. Its the first filter of the clowns that have no idea what they're talking about. The other glaring one that normally gets/got me back in the day that Java == JavaScript to all agencies.

Admittedly I've had a few beers, but what was going on there? It looked like a chaff device or something. I didn't see the massive destruction I was hoping for.

Such a US response hehe. I don't mean that much offense, but your first solution is to go to a pill? Its a hideous idea to me.

This makes a lot of sense to me, and has happened a few times. Very rarely is the crunch worth it, and almost always "burning the midnight oil" results in bad code/bad work. To the point where it might have been better to hav

Meditating/relaxing in bed before sleep I think is pretty important. Just taking 10-30 minutes to completely relax the muscles, stretch everything, forget everything. Pine trees, crickets, water lapping over white sands. To do it well,

Go go Musk you bloody champion. If we can harness the sun, waves and wind and store it in batteries, and perhaps making those batteries is bad, it's a better solution than continually burning fossil fuels that are destroying our forest

Don't get me wrong, I'd gladly strangle the greedy bastards that are doing this to the world. How's that for pacifism?

The old pacifist keyword, its a bit like the communist keyword. The only war we have at the moment is the one you (assuming you're a shill) created and want to sustain. Because if you don't, it all falls down. Its about the US dol

Downvote all you like. I'm over this, and I'm getting out of the IT game. If everything I do can be taken at will by a far more powerful, and greedy, team than I can do anything about, what is the point. Time for a change of caree

Might as well tattoo a UUID on our foreheads and be done with it at this rate. God I hate hearing the apologists for the NSA in these threads. Are you so devoid of empathy?

Yeah sound points. I guess I'd just say it feels like we're relying on the foxes to regulate the henhouse, when its really not in their best interests.

Well, sign me up for that hehe. I honestly don't know anyone that gets that kind of cash. Its probably a bit of a supply/demand thing, but that seems like a pretty obscene salary. This is what I don't understand - if you have

I feel like we're so deep in the mire now, of this kind of corruption and control by wealthy people/interests/entities, it'll be tough, if not impossible, to dig out of. Being a fairly selfish person, that's not for

The IT workers should form a union. I'm not a fan of unions (they seem to devolve towards corruption here in Australia), but I'd prefer that over arseholes like Jobs et al making wage "agreements". How scummy is that, th

I think we've gone far beyond what anyone wants. I'm starting to be a bit surprised by the good news though, I'll take what I can get. * Until such time as we can fix this mess.
