I hope this isn't a case of how many people does it take to drive an autonomous bus? Two, one to drive it, and the other to wander round telling passengers it's autonomous.

Russia has also suggested, in a comical example of bad movie physics , that it could wipe out the British Isles with a 0.5km high radioactive tidal wave, using a 100 megaton bomb set off in the North Sea.

Ironic that the title of this post is now a sanitised version of the original in order to protect the sensitivities of the modern Hacker News readership.

It's entirely obvious which is the desired option if the refund time is 10 weeks and the application is for, in the author's words, "free money".

The email is saying, rather clumsily, that the excess $25 of the second purchase will be refunded, and this interpretation is confirmed by fact that the third payment was also deemed to exceed the limit, which it would not have done if the

Er, what? Surely he's got the wrong end of the stick and they'll be refunding the excess $25 of his second purchase, (and now the entire $9975 of his superfluous third).

As I understand it it's not so much a brand new phenomenon, but rather a marked increase in the background rate, with the UK having a normal full year's worth of such cases in this calendar year already. I am inclined to agree wit
