This was a really beautiful post. As for coffee, like many other parts of life (movies, food, and music especially), I find that I like it very good or very bad—as long as it’s not down the middle, I can find a time/place to enjoy it.

The parent is not “spreading more disinformation”, as I see it. The comment just gives the opinion that the public is less than optimistic about vaccines after a challenging and rapidly changing public health campaign. I can tell you as a p

Yeah, the name is really misleading, if I’m understanding the tech correctly.

Same. I follow a number of team members on twitter and can't wait for it to be a bit more complete. I'll buy an M1 or M2 at that point for sure.

Pop!_OS is a piece of cake to install and has been my daily driver on a Lenovo CX1 for the past 3-4 years. (I’m assuming your comment is referring to Linux in general, not on a tablet). And I’m not a former CS major or anything. I’m on the

Good question. Finding that out would take a lot of on-chain analysis. I have no love for these firms so I really don't care if they are solvent. For those that took major risks with leverage and mismatched their risk on duration, let

+1 for ynab. I’ve been using it for 3-4 years now and happily pay for it. It makes tracking our family expenses manageable in a way that I can’t imagine with many other systems. It is especially helpful during times when your expenses sudde

The port mapping flip in the UI is seriously baffling. Not even that it happened but that it continues to be case. I feel that overall my unraid experience has been good and they certainly make the implementation of some basic services and

Agree with author on the last part … I don’t need this. Bought an iPhone 13 mini recently and one of the first things I did was set the cellular from “5G Auto” to “LTE” to save battery life. My suspicion has been that this tech isn’t for me

Same. Need a double convection oven to replace our failing one. Shocking how few are available without wifi. As has been said in other threads about connected TVs, if a few companies would just make dependable, serviceable, not-effing-int

“Then there are other people reading who think he's the commensurate con-man” Does anyone actually think this about Elon? Think what you will about the guy’s persona, but it seems undeniable that he is doing big things in the world (an

Yea, if you don’t request a refund, you don’t get it so yes, that % includes people who haven’t requested a refund. Also, this token became a “meme coin” in the weeks that followed the auction loss, returning something like 10x or more on U

Agreed! I’ve used Hugo + Netlify for the last few years, really like it. I’m not a big blogger, but it would be easy to run a blog with this setup.

Obsidian has a plug-in called Day Planner that sets up a very nice timeline alongside / integrated into your todo list.

It is daunting, but the world has looked at least this scary before and it didn’t stop the generations of people who led to our existence right now. As a person who just had a child, I strongly recommend it so far. It is more challenging th

Agreed, ESP8266/ESP32 is totally sufficient. Maybe if you wanted to run Xlights also off the same board it would make sense? I wouldn't bother. Dr. Zzs is selling a couple of pre-flashed boards that make the whole WLED set-up real
