Right, so you can think of it as a spectrum where full reserve banking (all deposits held directly, you're most likely going to have to pay for the privilege of secure storage and transactions) is on one end, fractional reserve banking

This is called full reserve banking, which is a step further than narrow banking (where you only invest in essentially zero risk assets like short term government bonds or let money sit in a federal reserve account). AIUI regulators do not

Right, the way you solve this isn't by regulating the cars or their engines themselves (beyond certifying tested performance on synthetic fuels) - instead, you simply regulate the sales of petroleum derived fuel and only allow the sale

In that case, compressing to bpgenc and then interlacing some error correction to get to a similar size would probably yield far more fault tolerance

IIRC Jim Keller is now working on a Atomic Semi (new semiconductor fab startup) with Sam Zeloof, so he's probably not at Tenstorrent anymore?

I think that's the idea though, to allow folks time to transition easier. Whether you get notified 2 months early and then start interviewing or you get laid off with 2 months of severance and start interviewing, isn't the outcome

Almost all logic today is done using CMOS for power reasons. The 200+ GHz stuff is all BJT, which while remarkably fast and less noisy, is generally much more power intensive (orders of magnitude). This makes BJT based designs useful for sm

For the skillset being asked, if you ignore the equity component (as I'm guessing GP did), $130k is absurdly low anywhere in the US. Folks in many metro areas (Portland, Austin, Phoenix, etc) with the desired XP and skillset can easily

Congratulations on launching! A couple of quick nits that come to mind: 1. On the pricing page, you seem to use commas (',') as decimal separators despite the price in USD. In the US, a period ('.') is customary as a dec

Zelle and Konbini are both also tiny dwarfs, that aren't really good examples of at-scale success, esp with anything that has any adjacency to tech. I say this as an avid Zelle user.

Wild guess: since the field given in the article is 256 bytes and the signature is probably just padded to the same size as the key, it's probably 2048 bits which is not really easily crackable (any key-specific flaws notwithstanding).

I think that's a outdated / misconfigured SSL issue on your side; I'm seeing a valid chain: ISRG X1 -> Let's Encrypt R3 -> chemicalaid.com. Qualys SSL Labs gives it an A+ on both IPv4 [1] and IPv6 [2]. [1]: https:

Contracts in the US also require consideration (IIRC from my intro biz law class). IANAL, but I think that the consideration is allowing you to use the IP (in exchange for your compliance with the license).
