Has Mira shown anything from her new startup so far? Genuine question. I am trying to keep up with the space, but never heard anything about her after leaving OpenAI except that she got some investors.

Indeed, even design and prepress required quite expensive hardware. There was a time when very expensive Silicone Graphics workstations were a thing.

Many perfectly respect your privacy but don't want to be bothered reading 100 pages vague legal document from the EU.

I don't think healthcare alone is stopping people from going on their own. What could a developer do on their own? Start a startup? Extremely hard and risky. Freelancing? Requires marketing and lots of other stuff most of us suck at. A

If such a ban is in power, many companies will either close or move abroad. It's as simple as that. I agree, it will be totally destructive.

You may be surprised but the majority of people who own stuff do not worry whether they should get a third monitor or a new kitchen appliance. We just use some items and don't care much about them. If the TV breaks I'd look for a

Everyone who has been to Japan in the last 20 years or so could argue about the quality of life. Japan is not quite "shiny" and people are not rich.

For news-like content I follow accounts on X: @kimmonismus @apples_jimmy and the accounts of Antropic, Mistal, Gemini / DeepMind and OpenAI. I think everyone who is really interested in the hot AI developments must also follow what com

That's not true. For mission-critical apps we route the traffic to the stable version while uploading the new version. This may be similar to what most CI tools do but it doesn't change the fact that we just upload the files and c

I do it all the time, thank you very much. For a simple web app I don't even need a framework - you can literally create a simple files/folder structure, include files, include folders and get stuff done. An yeah, you can also upl

And of course every time such comments get downvoted. Folks, you can downvote as much as you want - I don't give a fuck even if my reputation goes negative. This won't make you right.

This desire of deniers to prove to people who actually get tons of benefit of LLMs that they aren't getting it is becoming more ridiculous every time. "You can't use LLMs for this or that because of this and that!!!". Bu

I also find it fascinating how in almost every LLM-related discussion there are people always writing arguments to prove that LLMs do not work. OK, I understand. Maybe they can't get much use of them and that's fine. But why they

I can hardly imagine anyone being in cult with WP. People use it because of the huge ecosystem around it and the accessible talent pool. One can hardly be impressed by the tech itself - in fact almost everyone thinks it sucks.

And it's not just the speed. The mental energy I save from having AI do some work vs. me doing it is allowing me to feel better, have mental energy for different things, be more productive, or just have some rest.
