Sounds like what happens anyway with the new layers of abstractions that get added by frameworks, etc.

"Why bother burning yourself out working for a FAANG or F1000 when you could make more and be in control of your own destiny and happiness?" Because working for FAANG or another company lets you do your work and get paid regularly

Thanks for doing this! I'm a bit confused by the readme: "This script outputs how many job seekers there are vs how many jobs." Isn't it actually showing the ratio of jobs / job seekers? It does seem so by the chart

I've seen plenty of these essays, and colleagues bashing LLMs online, making fun on mistakes the AI makes, sharing articles about energy usage, etc. I use it to help me write code in languages never used before, to manage infrastructur

You can find super cheap VPS offers on lowendtalk.com. I wouldn't trust many of them for production, but even the cheapest one should be good for learning. Also, Hetzner is always a reliable low-cost option too.

When they are content sites, yes. When there is ecommerce and other dynamic stuff - not so much. I'm often optimizing WP sites after the arsenal of the typical developer - caching, redis object caching, etc - has been wiped off. The db

WordPress is an utter crap in terms of DB design and code. Most plugins are even worse and the whole thing is a total mess. Yet, if you have a client needing this and that you can have them started really quick with WordPress. Need an e-com

It's a recession and still happening. I think expecting things to improve in Q2 is too optimistic. It will probably take at least 9 months before a bottom. And probably a couple of years before a blooming job market again. (Obviously t

For bad (and for good), what you did in the past does not matter that much. Good memories can help your current moment, but only a little if you can't do the same now. For example, if you dated more and had more good relationships can

I actually appreciate asking for email, otherwise the most likely outcome is I will download the book and forget it. If there's some kind of a follow-up, there is a better chance to be reminded of it and read it.

On the work side, I am surprised no one has suggested freelancing. Yes, bidding on sites like Upwork isn't a great way to make money especially in the USA, but given your situation, it's a way to earn something working on your ter

I got a free product featured there recently. Got a lot of traffic but most of it was crap - visits and upvotes without any downloads. And that's for a free product - I guess I would not make any sales if it was paid.
