I don't know if this is true, but I read somewhere that Pornhub/Mindgeek was a "fake-it-til-you-make-it piracy site", and still is for studios that aren't active about takedown requests, except with their money they

I'm surprised this project is still seeing big updates! I loved open-source games back in the day. I liked Sauerbraten's capture the flag mode in particular. I played more of the Sauerbraten fork Red Eclipse, which saw a 2.0 relea

If you'd rather have your comments be on the same username, multireddits (old Reddit UI) or custom feeds (new Reddit UI) are an option for managing groups of subscriptions too.

Do you have plans to address the criticisms you've had on Youtube and Reddit comments? It sounds like a lot of people have been unhappy with quality of service given the prices (esp. if you get low quantities), citing the dirtiness

I figure the solution is sort of like fighting other forms of unconscious bias like racism with public awareness campaigns and corporate trainings. I imagine this might get more attention in the coming years as social justice leaders find n

Any chance you could share that? I think some flights still don't charge for Facebook messenger, so HTTP over messenger might still be useful.

Ankidroid syncs with Ankiweb just like Anki desktop does, and I like it because I can swipe right/left to say if I remember a card or not. The decks are on https://ankiweb.net/shared/decks/ although I wouldn&

It's definitely a useless argument for a fairly lazy article. I don't disagree that the articles they link have weak arguments, but why not actually cite economic policy experts and economists that agree with wealth inequality? Th

I was curious about the economics of building geothermal plants as a California statewide infrastructure strategy, since I assume it's a pretty good place for geothermal, so I did some quick maths from info I found online. Apparently C

That was quite the read! Thanks for sharing it. I do wonder what the future is for at-home concerts. The Travis Scott Fortnight event was really neat and kind of mesmerizing; the track was highly anticipated, which helped a lot. It was neat

I helped out one of my friends that ran a spring break coding camp for middle school girls where we used Cloud9 back when it was free (pre-aquisition at least). We had easy access to chromebooks, so it made sense, especially since you could

I wish there were better self-hosted wikis. Most seem to be from the mid-00s and rock the look. None of them have real-time collaborative editing like Confluence or Quip from my research.

For fields with a large amount of public interest, are there standards for saying what evidence is actionable and what isn't? It feels like clinical research is the only science that has a clear pipeline between an experiment being com

This looks like a neat tool, especially for students taking courses like CS 231N! I imagine this already works in Jupyter Notebook? Perhaps this could be integrated into an extension for the VSCode, maybe in the debugger.

Youth rights is something I wish liberals would get behind publicly. I know nobody wants to make controversial statements supporting people that can't vote, but at least teens control a decent portion of the online political activity.

Thank you! I remember when in High School, everyone was worried about standardized tests, Kaplan and Princeton Review were considered horrible for SAT/ACT prep. Most of the top students reported that local prep classes were much better
