I think the core issue here is how C style strings are implemented. Personally, I much prefer if C strings were <size><data>, but what I was going after is that it's not K&R specific, it's a C design "mistake".

The function copy expects a C style string but he pass a buffer to some data. If you pass it the proper argument you'll get a proper result, it's that simple. I see the complaint is more about C style strings in general because it's easy t

My point was that the sample code didn't show Ember's strong features like computed properties and auto binding. The backbone version will be more or less the same size for this kind of demo. as for the cleaner part, I didn't like the fact

Nothing is this article demonstrates a feature that doesn't exist in backbone.js. In fact, backbone.js feels much cleaner.

Ah, that's unfortunate. I'll be implementing lthread_compute during the holidays. Keep an eye on that. :)

Unfortunately, as of now you cannot move an lthread from one scheduler to another but it can be implemented. May I ask why you want to do that? I am working on lthread_compute for compute intensive tasks which will offload the work to a wor

Here's my take: 1. Instead of focusing on the idea, focus on the execution. 2. Pick a niche that has a relatively easy entry, and create something better and/or cheaper. Perfect your execution so that your product becomes the obvious choice

thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure to document it more extensively. When you create a pthread, it creates an lthread scheduler in it, and any lthread created in this pthread will get associated with the pthread itself. A typical exampl

pylons is a glue framework. It allows you to replace whatever you want, easily and without losing other framework features.

micro frameworks provide incomplete feature set. You tend to reinvent the wheel many times. I see no advantage in using them when I can have something more complete and feature rich.

dependencies are taken care of by pylons once it gets installed. I like that Ben made it this way because many of these dependencies can be reused in other projects.

web micro frameworks are evil although they don't look like that in the beginning, I advice to avoid them by all means. IMO, even though pylons 1.0 is now frozen, it is still one of the most flexible frameworks out there.
