Great blog post Matt. I've been using jMockups on and off and I really like it. I'm a designer and it really speeds up the process of iterating through ideas. That being said, Matt, it'd be awesome(for you, as marketing material perhaps) if

Do #2 first, to validate your idea. This will help you better persuade your tech cofounders to take the plunge and join you guys. At least it helped me! After that's up, start learning programming. Rails or Django should do fine. Just get a

Hi. It really depends, if you want to do it yourself it can be significantly cheaper. I paid less than $100 for the incorporation of my company(c-corp). I'm a solo founder, so I didn't have to deal with partnership agreements and such. As r

I use IndexTank for my startup(pilarhq.com), and search is the single most important thing for us. Seriously, IndexTank is terrific. Not only is their product pretty fast and provides great search which you can integrate in your app in a ma

Hey Diego. You know what's funny, I use IndexTank for PilarHQ.com(it's an app which really depends on search). I can't tell you how much you having Olark on IndexTank has helped me implement IndexTank. I've had a few issues, and have spoken

I use Olark...but I like to think it's more of a sales tool. Then again, some of you will argue that support can be used as a sales process; I don't care how big/small of a company you run, customer service is probably the single most impor
