People actually scroll a lot more nowadays. More over, people rather scroll then click through to view content. Nielsen had a nice little alert a while ago: http://www.useit.com/alertbox/9712a.html

I doubt there was a business model that stated that. It's the very common problem of to munch money and far to much hype. Half of their time is spent living up to the hype - 2+ engines switches! - and the other half spending their cash on f

Very neat project! The flavors.me for developers? The background photographs need to be a little larger. Both the project's and your personal site's backgrounds are 200px to thin for my 15" screen.

OmniGraffle has been circling the drain in my work-flow for a while now; pen and paper easily beating it out most of the time. Wire-framing should be fast, quick, and recyclable. I've been impressed with Google drawings: it's not bloated (u

I'm all for this. Let's see what we can setup. Reddit's /r/design and /r/webdesign aren't very compelling and usually completely packed up with "28 great lens flares" type spam. Somewhere where we can have a real chat about all aspects of d

Looks like good ol' fashion resin 3D printing or rough form injection molding. Most university ID shops have those facilities now-a-days. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_printing ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fused_deposition_m

Sunken cost is an interesting argument (though "fallacy" is an apt description), but I believe it does not address the design mistake made here. Given the composition of the first UI object (user / pass / submit / register) an user would cl
