@tristanj 10 hours ago: Title appears to be clickbait. The original AP story [1] says this restriction applies to the agency's social media accounts. It does not say this restriction applies to employee's personal social media acc

Alternatively the government tells the robots to lock up the poor rioters, so the rich can keep spending their money in peace. There will be violence on both sides. Still this is all hypothetical, all we did was make some neural nets be abl

Might be a long shot, but I often find I link my body state to my mind state unconsciously. Meaning if my body is struggling because of lack of attention in some area, the mind interprets itself as being depressed/sad/angry. I kno

"You may wait but time will not" Additionally failure is a big part of the learning process, and each failure brings you closer to success because you now have a life experience that you can use to shape your future choices.

If I add a new member to a type, because of immutability, if I change the member it means I have to think about creating new instances all the way up the chain. And then in turn handling how that change propagates out. It makes for more has

Main reason I don't make the jump into fully functional language, is the difficulty of refactoring. It's nice if you get the program structure right first time, but of course that doesn't happen and so the inability to easily

While true this is really just a response to what the big companies have been doing for a long time. Some off the top of my head: MS Kinect trailer [1], and Hololens [2], also Ubisoft games with realistic graphics at E3 that were later down

This is just what marketing looks like in the 21st century. You have to have a wow factor for people to notice you. I would suggest never trusting any announcement/trailer/teaser for anything to be honest; their aim is only to sho

Beyond performance, the entire reddit mobile experience is terrible anyway. It's advised to use the unofficial 'reddit is fun' app which is simply amazing in comparison.

All problems revolve around structure, and as customers want more features, and capital builds, the structures get more complex. So we build even more complex structures to offset the complexity, but now things that were once simple get bro

The audio was done well too, gave a real sense of atmosphere. I find their latest installment with all the fancy graphics, high quality models, cutscenes and so on just not as fun to play. They just don't capture the same atmosphere.

I don't like prices increasing as much as anyone, but if this gets people to stop and think before buying Apple products then I'm all for it. They have been overcharging for their products for the last 10 years.

You could say this about a lot of businesses; AAA game companies, supermarkets etc all can have horrible work culture. But when you are spending millions, and can hire as many people as you want, and work them hard, results will come.
