Interesting, how people hold the world's only Jewish state to a different moral standard than every other country. There's a word for that.

The Arab world is already awash in antisemitic propaganda. This Twitter account isn't going to move the needle there. No, this account is aimed at Americans. It shares short, simple, true messages: Hamas is a terrorist organization, Hamas l

With a sample size of 395, given the intensity of feeling around general elections, all this really does is show that America is staggeringly not racist.

Well, sure, since affirmative action doesn't help those people nearly as much as it helps upper-middle class kids from the suburbs. That's the problem with it - whatever its intentions, it just doesn't help the people it truly needs to.

A 'notwithstanding' clause in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that lets the government override it, as long as it's 'reasonable and justified'? The somewhat amusingly named Canadian Human Rights Commission, which can regulate wh

Are there any districts on this list that are remotely competitive? I'm sympathetic, but I really don't understand why people bother attacking entrenched politicians in non-competitive districts when they should be identifying more competit

Can what Nate Silver be doing be considered science? He's dealing with terribly sketchy data. Response rates to political polls in America are south of 10%, and there's no proof that the portion of the population willing to have a conversat

It's worth noting that the user ID sync only needs to happen once per bidder in the real-time auction that determines which ads get served - once the bidder's user ID is linked to the auction provider's user ID, no more cookies need to get

Are you confusing 'bootstrapped products' with some other concept like 'passive income'? Amount of revenue six months out doesn't have anything to do with whether something's bootstrapped.

Maybe you can answer this for me, since I've always wondered: what happens if your company runs out of money, and you get into an impossible situation where you can't keep paying your employees, but you also can't afford to pay the severanc

Wait, what? It's way easier to make money by selling a product or service than it is by 'tracking customers and selling data.' An individual's data is worth next-to-nothing. You have to accumulate huge audiences and keep the costs of what

I wouldn't approach it this way. Instead, I would think of a project I wanted to build, pick a language well-suited for that project, and then learn that language as I got building. Learning through doing is the best way to make learning ea

God, yes. Things get much easier. A certain class of startup-building problems gets way easier as you grow and can afford to hire specialized resources. Get to the point where you can hire a good finance person? Things just got way easier
