Who cares if it's FOSS or not? Neither FSF or OSI existed when Stallman enshrined his morals into the GPL, that didn't stop him.

Jawdropping music is produced by kids using laptops making sounds that were simply not possible a decade or two ago. If you don't enjoy the breakthroughs that are being made you are the one that's missing out.

Maybe. But nuclear power wouldn't exist at all without some large scale socialism to prop it up

If you looked into how nuclear power plants get built you'd probably call it large scale socialism. But you got all your talking points lined up in a perfectly sensible row, I wouldn't want to topple them over.

No idea why people keep recommending Refactoring . It is super outdated showing low-level refactoring techniques in a 20 year old version of Java. If your IDE doesn't already have all these techniques built-in then you should get a ne

Delivery is the crux of a lot of comedians. If they have good delivery they can get away with saying a lot of unfunny, even mean repulsive things, and have the audience laugh along with them

The problem is that developer has no idea if the implementation is going to be performant for their use case. The mutable compilers normally have less magic and thus are easier for the developer to understand and optimize. FP is really just

One of the bigger advantages of OOP that I rarely see discussed is the natural namespacing that you get. In other paradigms you end up polluting the global namespace more easily, harming autocompletion and discoverability.
