I left a comment wondering aloud if this exact thing existed two weeks ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37601222 . Awesome to see!

Default prediction packages for common scenarios (like camera and player movement) would be nice. For example, I wouldn't care too much about physics prediction but player input should provide immediate feedback. I just watched your in

This is cool! I think multiplayer first and web native is a great combo. Once WebGPU implementations are more widely available this will be a much easier way of getting into casual games, especially party games with friends. Streaming asset

I meant stores like the Apple app store, Google play store or chrome extensions store, but for standalone web apps. Not necessarily commerce, just a place to discover apps but for the browser. Maybe you could take a Brave-like model where t

Are there any existing web-app stores? I always wondered why that wasn't more of a thing. I like the idea of an all-in-one development platform and app aggregator. As a dev though I'd be concerned about feature parity with say fir

It sounds like Godot just needs a few more hands on deck to close up a lot of these smaller gaps, as Juan mentions most of the issues are already being discussed or were simply lower priority to fix. Hopefully with the influx of Unity refug

I've actually been able to get pretty remarkable results out of Llama 2 7B on just my laptop gpu (8gb). Just don't give it any logic puzzles. I wonder if a 13B (more or less runnable with consumer GPU hardware) fine-tuned on a gam

Interesting that signals are coming back hard - Elm had and removed signals due to the learning curve and complexity. With solidjs I pretty immediately ran into the gotchas of signals. I like that reactivity is explicit rather than implicit

This is a cool demo! It does a good job hinting at how immersive the experience can be. I'm excited about large language models for gaming. The first thing I tried with ChatGPT was to run a text-based RPG game, and it was fun the very

Yup. It basically becomes a household emergency when we run low. We were out of this and sriracha for a couple weeks. That was a sad, tasteless, time. (Also, it's mentioned in the article)

I wonder how much of this has to do with learning the second language when you're older and more mature? You end up without the childhood emotional baggage or subtle misunderstandings that come with learning at a young age.

I experienced this too but the other way, French -> Spanish, and I think it may be particular to these languages as there's so much confusing overlap (for non-natives). I've since dropped French entirely and haven't had an
