Do you have any info about what it's called or how it's used? I'm surprised ESPN doesn't have a clickable video link for their play by play for example. NBA has it for league pass holders, but they also don't offer

Hey HN - we built Clips.live since we wanted to share clips of NBA plays as soon as they happen. Before this, you had to make these clips yourself or wait until someone manually made them in order to share them. Eventually, we want to recor

Only the user typing “assist” needs to have a subscription and they can use it across all of their machines on a single license. I’ll clarify this on the site - thanks!

Sorry for the lack of clarity - only the user typing “assist” needs to have a subscription. We host publicly accessible tunnels so that this works wherever you are. I’ll clarify the subscription details on the site - thanks!

While that works well on the same network, Assist uses a publicly accessible tunnel to allow connections from the internet, regardless of wherever you are / local network configuration.

Great idea! “assist -r” should trigger a read-only mode. We will add this feature soon - please send us an email (team@assist.app) if you’d like to be notified when it’s ready. Thanks!

The main difference is we use a standard openSSH setup for tunneling - a full ssh key exchange is performed between you and the assistant. We’re also a paid service so we’re incentivized to make sure things run reliably and customers are we

A freemium model is exactly what we wanted to avoid :-) I am confident that the App Store rating does not reflect the current quality of the app. Shoot us an email (team@memos.org) for a promo code if you’re still skeptical.

It works reasonably well, but it’s largely dependent on your specific handwriting. Send us an email (team@memos.org) for a promo code if you’d like to give it a try.

Yep, I haven't received a response to my last message. I've rehosted elsewhere though so I am not worried about not getting my files back.

Thanks for doing so - we're adding a settings pane where you can turn off the auto-edit functionality. I'll update the gh issue once it's live.

We are storing the changes you make to an email and then loading those changes back in when you view that email. The original email is never deleted, you can always click the "Restore" button get back to the original.
