If content is relevant for HN, I would like to see it, even if it’s on Twitter. Yes, we would collectively prefer that it’s in a blog and that there are no paywalls or login screens, that RSS is available everywhere, that Google Reader is s

I'm sure many users don't use Home/End/PgUp/PgDown, since these keys are the first to go on majority of nowadays laptops. Even if there is plenty of space. And yet, I use these keys all the time. When I'm consi

S10e is great, except for battery life. But it’s not sold any more. New S22 is just slightly larger but it lacks audio out and memory expansion slot, which could be a problem since only 128GB model is available for preorder in my country.

My only "spectrum" was a paper one - a keyboard drawn from a magazine pic. Now you know there's something worse than a rubber keyboard! Never got the real thing though, ended up with Atari 800XL, better comp in many aspects b

It’s strange to complain about occasional motorcycle noise when emergency sirens could be heard all the time on Manhattan. Orders of magnitude more than in any other city I’ve been to. Or you New Yorkers tune that out?

There's an excellent Black Mirror episode about tracking a child, looking through their eyes using implant, and even blocking stuff that could be scary or upsetting for them. Needless to say, it turned our quite bad for both child and

Also positive experiences with Booking since 2005 :) What AirBnB gets horribly wrong is hiding exact location of property. In some cases, 200-300m make all the difference, e.g. directly on the sea coast or 10min up the hill, which can happe

Paris at night can be scary, while I never felt that in any Balkan city. On the other hand few smaller French cities I visited felt safe. It could be a problem with super-touristy capital of France.

Serbia has nice things to see (Tara mountain, Belgrade, etc.), but if you make a Balkan tour you should not skip Montenegro. They have everything - nice seacoast with a number of old cities, mountains, lakes... And it's all condensed i

On Windows I still prefer to run 100% scaling. Yes, most new software correctly handle hidpi, but you'll encounter issues here and there. That said, if you run 1080p on 24", and want to upgrade to a larger display, 1440p 32"

There are even large ones wide enough to suit both keyboard and mouse. You don't have pad area anymore, mouse works everywhere. It's also more comfortable for hands when typing. Mine is Asus ROG Sheath, 990mm x 440mm.

If you play a guitar, get something like Hercules GS414B stand. It locks the guitar when you put it, so it's very hard to be knocked out by kids or yourself. Then it's safe to keep the guitar near the place where you usually sit a

It's not like that, sanctions make it harder to overthrow a dictatorship. On one hand, 90% of people can only hear official media. With sanctions, they have much easier job telling that someone else is to blame. On the other hand it ma
