Agreed. I use vi and nano (light scripting) and nothing else. There are so many cool things that vi can do, but most here know this. I don't want my hand held when I'm writing lines of code. I cut my teeth under an old grey beard

Which is unwelcome because Raspberry Pi included a repo for a Microsoft product without informing users prior. It pings MS every time an update occurs. It's one thing for it to be available, but another entirely for RPi to assume users

Agreed. Most DEs are well designed and work well enough. I just don't like busy UIs. I am now on Gnome on Pop!_OS because the latest Gnome, at least on Pop, seems to stay out of my way. On Fedora or other, there are so many errors that

Agreed. Pop is the distro to beat for daily use for me at least. I've been using Linux as a daily driver since 1998 and until Pop, the only thing I felt comfortable with was Window Maker.

While I don't experience synesthesia, colors and places resonate emotion, both good and bad, to the point where I don't go certain places. I cannot stand being in large conurbations or in heavy traffic. It's emotionally drain
