I just feel like Pinterest hijacks other creators' content, sticks it on their web site, hijacks google image search, and adds a level of annoyance to most users on par with pop-up ads. Do I have this wrong?

Mind explaining the lol here? I would love to know the counterargument to the mortgage comment.

Given that the title of the post is "Alternative Milks" I think the general usage of "milk" is simply a shorthand for "alternative milks" which would be synonymous with your want to call them milk substitutes.

I think this comes down to an amount of perceived bad faith. Amazon’s goal, like Facebook and Google, is to collect as much as it can about everyone to sell more things. That makes anything like this feel nefarious. Apple of course wants to

Yes, I see it. Maybe you need to update?

I love YNAB. Been using it for years. They just keep adding features & keep the web app nice and snappy.

Love it. True to form, it still has the title "React app." I personally have shipped things to production without changing the CRA boilerplate title :).

I use Paw for GraphQL every day, including variables, schemas, and docs. The autocomplete works well enough, and when plugging into the larger Paw project things work very well. My only big gripe is I can't write JSON to modify variabl

That’s precisely how I viewed it as well. What I was saying is it’s terrifying that a swing like that implies a larger swing.

This is so terrifying. If you start giving Trump states which are tossups, like FL, the others which were tossups begin to lean red. Choose red for those and you're done. At that point you're in 2016 territory. We have an extremel

Totally agree. I have a Quest 1, before the forced FB integration. I'll be waiting until something better comes along before upgrading my VR setup.

> Can't you see where they're going with this? Can you see the slippery slope you're invoking? Apple owns the operating system you use. That is where it stops in your example. They don't force ownership of software, t

There's no reason for this to be posted to Hacker News. There's nothing tech-related here, and it's not even news-worthy.

This makes me very uncomfortable :).

The comments here are so positive, I had to try this out. After reading through all the built-in notes and customizing some shortcuts, I have to say this is some very slick software. I tried Roam before but didn't get into it, but the

Where it might be very useful is for companies who distribute Cellular IOT devices where they pay for each byte uploaded. That could have a real impact on cost with the tradeoff being more work on-device (which can be optimized).

Worth noting here that the clearer water is not likely due to pollution, but instead the fact that sediment is not being kicked up due to boat traffic. https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/venice-canals-clear-water..

I've been working remotely for almost 4 years. - As others have mentioned, wake up on routine. Shower, get dressed, make your coffee, etc., and aim to do this at the same time every day. My wife works 2 days from home and the nights be

Cohort #2 graduate here. Love the OMSCS program, and I've seen through friends how it's improved since my time. I don't know if it's the best out there but the cost/benefit is through the roof.

Things have matured quite a bit. With Apollo Server it's possible to fully understand which fields are being requested before creating and running, for example, and SQL query. Fetching only the requested data for a given query reduces
