It's not. It's actually worse. You're assuming that random people on the internet are going to collectively be more secure than CAs, which is obviously not the case. Imagine you get an email signed by the IRS, and which is tr

>and rewrite pretty much all my app infrastructure Though, to be fair, you'd have to do that even if the Flutter was written in Kotlin. Maybe not the back-end parts, but the View would definitely have to be re-written.

So I understand this correctly, Dart just pivoted language styles 7 years after being in stable? So all old Dart code won't work now? This seems much worse than the Python 2 - Python 3 jump.

Different people hate different things. And I don't think that anyone hates Dart because it has generics.

I can't speak for everyone, but my problem with flutter isn't the framework - it's the language. Or, more accurately, the fact that it's not a JVM-based language. When Android came out, it was able to piggyback on mill

What would be interacting is an electron like environment with a pared down JS/CSS engine which only let "modern JS/CSS" (maybe something like Servo). It can be optimized for that, and you don't really have to rende

The big problem is that out of the 5 technologies you mentioned, only two are cross-platform, and only one builds an exe (yet). Oh, and that one is practically designed around a hybrid C++, so if you don't like C++ (last time I tried C+

The problem with these tricks is that they're dependant on V8 internals, which means that there's no guarantee that it will be fast on Firefox (or edge, or even Safari). So now if google changes the back end, websites will slow do

There is (at least on Debian) - enable contrib and use apt. The problem is that neither your install or recover CD won't have it enabled by default, so if you have a problem, your hard-drive won't mount.

SpaceX never claimed that it's advancing rocket science. NASA recovered rockets and landed on the moon years ago. What they didn't do was lower the cost to orbit. _That_ is SpaceX's thing
