I know you're a prolific commentator here, so if you don't mind me asking ... Which operating systems have you designed (or worked on) to say that writing a microkernel in C is a symptom that they don't know anything about

Just want to point out that not that long ago redox-os (the microkernel OS in Rust) asked people to test it. People were able to kernel panic it, get privilege escalations, and DDoS it. In short, it had the same same issues a C based kernel

They're not expanding it for experiments. It's just an old model that costs too much to refurbish, and they've got a new one coming up which will be a lot cheaper and easier to refurbish than the current (which is one model a

Sorry if I wasn't clear but I don't have anywhere close to that kind of money to place something anywhere near the moon. I was just being curious as to who would.

Does postmarketOS use android-based binary blobs, and what does it have over such projects as Google-Free LineageOS (as in, if you don't flash opengapps) or Replicant?

It's not marketers. It's that it used to be free (baked into the plan) so there used to be no advantage to not get a phone every two years. Do while the free phone went away (for this in the cell phone market, did plans get any ch

My issue with Monads (and why I like kotlin and swift nullable types) is that it allows the compiler to infer nullability like the following code: fun f(a1: Int?, a2: Int?): Int { if (a1 == null || a2 == null) { return 0 }
