Just to put this in perspective. 4k resolution is roughly 4x as demanding as 1080p. A lot of games run at 30 fps (especially on consoles) but most target 60 fps. If we want to do 4k @ 120 Hz, we are talking about 8x as much work. Rendering

Number 4 is pretty cool because the programs use the fact that they know how the other program guesses to make sure they win. If I'm Program 1 and I see a 0, I will guess 0. If Program 2 sees a 0, Program 1 guessed correctly and it doe

That is pretty cool. I liked q9 since they named the characters after the RSA creators (Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir, Leonard Adleman) and the question is most likely modular exponentiation.

I don't think your gold analogy is correct because nobody can create gold out of nothing (mining requires a ton of work). Fiat currencies however can be create from nothing by central banks and normal banks (multiplicative effect due t

I have a lazy eye. If I do some eye exerices every so often, my eye isn't lazy. Watching a 3D movie or using properly calibrated VR goggles has the same effect as my exercises. What you're thinking talking about is the discrepancy

I've seen this best debugger thing come up a few times before. I'm currently working with windows on a project right now and I'm finding the VS debugger more limited than GDB. With GDB I can create scripts which analyse and p

I wasn't too familiar with telehash until you mentioned it. I read the docs and it looks like it's a pretty complete framework whereas OTR is more of a handshake to establish a secure channel. If you're only using telehash to

I was looking into making a similar application a while ago and was really interested in OTR. Not only does it provide encryption and authentication, it also provides deniability. Have you guys looked into using it? If you have and rejected

If I'm not mistaken, when google bid on the wireless spectrum in 2008, they did so in such a way that extra conditions had to be met by the winner of the auction [1]. One of these conditions is 'Open networks: Third parties (like

You should be able to. See my previous post with more details as to how I installed linux (arch) on my chromebox. It might be as straightforward for this version since it has an ARM processor instead of the x86 processor found in my setup.

Yes you can but it's not a straightforward process. I did it for my chromebox which follows the same procedure as doing it for a chromebook. Basically you have to open the machine and remove a screw to enable write access to the bios.

There is actually a binary blob for processors that the BIOS is responsible for loading. The biggest difference is that you aren't responsible for downloading it as it is usually included with your motherboard (as the grandparent says)
