Fastai. Updated series of lectures and notebooks for 2022. High level as well as building neural nets from scratch. Doing it at the moment and enjoying. Good as a starting point for more in depth studies.

Does make me wonder what increase in the rate of debris falling into populated areas is. And who is liable for the outcomes. If this had happened before the recent wet, there’s a very real chance of a major bushfire.

It’s long been my favourite film, so I guess that makes it the GOAT. That soundtrack never fails to resonate. The moral ambiguity of everyone is so well balanced. The set design and props. Everything, really.

So Australian, Canadian and some European cities are the places to be. Not overly surprising (at least to me). They're the only 3 regions I'd choose to live and work due to the balanced lifestyle that the Economist rates in its

I'm not a classical music aficionado, but Jonny Greenwood's Phantom Thread soundtrack is pretty great as background music to write some code to. Anyway, music changes. To me, someone very obviously classically influenced like Igo

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say those statistics are laughable. Have a look at the order of all countries: https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Crime/Burgla...

Trying to delete my old inactive account and it keeps throwing a meaningless error: "Something went wrong. : A". Wish I'd been more sensible and done it earlier.

0.1X coverage is nowhere near enough to get any useful information. The Nanopore error rate is huge (10-15%), with substitutions, insertions and deletions all common. The required coverage is more like 10X to 30X or more to get some accur

My (Apple) Powerbeats Pro work about 50% of the time. A really bad design flaw with the tiny contacts means that 1 of the pair frequently doesn't charge in the case after a few minutes. Go to use them for a run and one is often flat.
