I'm always told I look older. This tool seems to agree... 10 years older.

I like it! I found that it doesn't like "=" in the transformation result.

I really dislike working with people that don't collaborate. If they can't help you out, then I'd suggest you to move on to somewhere else, specially if they know you were hired as a junior.

Am I alone in thinking that if a programmer writes a code that allows a string to be sent to an integer field in the database the issue is not with the DBMS?

Well, I guess there is a need for a single definition of what a "code snob" is. In OP's example, the singleton is a design pattern, not a coding standard. It should be used if it is applicable to the scenario, as it seem like

If those are real pictures, why did you make them look like if they were created in 3D? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Nice. This problem started happening more than a year ago on my early 2011. I just had it sitting collecting dust as I got the 2013 version. Last week I decided to take it to get repaired... and now they announce this. Hopefully this will s

That's exactly what I heard from my first programming professor in college, around 2001. I told him I managed to get an internship at the university 6 months before becoming an actual student and I was working with PHP. He said straigh

But then you are not going to fill the position with someone unemployed... you are just filling the position with someone that was working somewhere else... which doesn't solve the original issue.

Not always. If the people don't understand that someone can't give them immediate attention they are going to email you, send a chat message to say that they emailed you and if you don't reply in 2 minutes they will call you.

Your suggested solution makes sense to me. I find myself doing this more and more. The place where I get the least amount of work (at least my work) done is the office, so I tend to work at nights or sometimes simply work from home the enti

The point I am trying to get across is that such restrictions kill (or seriously hurt) any attempt of innovation coming from people on H1B visas. There are a number of ways to try to circumvent the laws, but the risks associated with them m

It is legal to open the business abroad, but technically you can't work for this business from the US on a H1B.

I understand... it is doable, but still not legal :) We should not have to come up with "creative ways" to do something simple like ads on side projects (be it a blog or a free app).

Right, and if I can't work for that business what difference does it make? Do you have any links that show that ads on a blog are legal? All the research that I've done came to the same conclusion.

People on H1B, like me, simply can't. It is ilegal to have any income coming anywhere else other than the employer associated to the H1B... It is ilegal to even make money on ads on a blog... this completely sucks and is very frustrati

Besides the non-human traffic, most online ads are created to not be seen. I was even thinking about creating a blog post to call out the marketers out there to change this, but I am too lazy... specially to make them make more money. I am
