I had one of the most popular published projects on mp3car.com back in the heyday. It actually got me into a few strange meetings with companies that were actually building this stuff, like Clarion. I had literally designed, built, and inst

Given the number of folks going hard at it to find an exploit, I assume it's become rather difficult given the few successes.

I find it interesting how much 'theory of mind' research is now apparently paying off in LLM applications. The exploit, by contrast, invokes very nonscientific metaphysical concepts: asking the agent to store the initial raw respo

I obviously have no idea if they added real or synthetic data to the training set specifically regarding the full-to-the-brim wineglass test, but I fully expect that this prompt is now compromised in the sense that because it is being discu

In your DAW world, AES/EBU transport parity bit corrects most single bit errors as well. It’s a testament to the comprehensive handling of the issue that you as a professional do not need to do much thinking about the problem. Point is

Error detection is present in S/PDIF PCM (including when transported on hdmi) and is also an inherent byproduct of most audio codecs when a digital bitstream is being used, which is normally the case today. FEC and other types of error

It’s technically not an all or nothing deal with hdmi/dvi. That is to say that bit errors do indeed manifest as image artifacts, though normally imperceptible. I think some people understand that error correction is normally present in

If you want to make features tinier than EUV allows, you do what you have done for the last few decades and make them directly, but real slow and costly, with electron beams. IMO at some point it seems likely that someone will simply decide

“Bytes” is not an arbitrary definition in the contest. Any use of an emoji takes 4 bytes. Some of these new combined ones can be 25+ bytes when accounting for zero width joiners, variant selectors, and modifiers. Technically you can pack ne

I have the same control doodad on my LG monitor. Not only does it apparently fail quite often, it sucks entirely to begin with and is an incredible regression in ergonomics and human interface. So stupid.

Regarding wideband signals muxing/demuxing Yes, modulate then FFT for each signal, do the upconversion and mixing in frequency domain, then a single large IFFT to give the final bitstream. Roughly the inverse of this (single large FFT,

Sucrose is a disaccharide formed from a glucose and a fructose molecule bound with an oxygen atom. in the presence of an acid (or in your stomach when you eat it) it will undergo hydrolysis and disassociate into its component sugars. Sucros

In hindsight I should have said that HFCS produced with a fructose:glucose ratio of 1:1 wont taste different than sucrose. It's evident that HFCS can and is often produced with much different ratios and can be anything from pure glucos

HFCS is made by enzymatically converting glucose in corn syrup to fructose, so it stands to reason that the product can have any glucose:fructose ratio needed. Since humans categorically taste fructose as sweeter than glucose, it makes sens

I don't disagree with your conclusion; I am only disagreeing with the premise that high fructose corn syrup is biologically or chemically dangerous or can otherwise be differentiated from cane sugar wrt how it tastes or how it behaves

▲

Correct; by converting about half to fructose you get a product that is functionally equivalent to sucrose. You could take it a step further and perform a condensation reaction to chemically convert it into the disaccharide (actual sucrose)
