Shouldn't there be a kid fee then? Kids are likely to cause damage and everyone is subsidizing it. It should just be common sense. You have a kid or you have a pet. They damaged the property, you pay it.

That's not the argument in the article. Not only that but coding is deterministic up to a certain point. Once the project becomes complex, it becomes harder and harder to account for all edge cases. Sometimes it requires heuristics tha

The article opens with > Writing requires thinking, don't let an AI do the thinking for you. And then the author goes on to admit that they use AI for coding. Does coding not require thinking or what? I agree that we shouldn't

I don't agree with that advice. Interviewing sucks. I know, if you currently have a job then you don't lose anything. Other than precious time and I already feel like I don't have enough free time, I don't want to invest

Not the same though. A lot of people are just too lazy to cancel. If Disney had to terminate all the subscriptions that would probably have prevented this type of behavior

Yeah, the "but this can be done in a day with AI" from management is going to get old soon

> Every company on earth is about to want one who can drive a fleet of agents with judgment Maybe seniors are seniors because they care about their work so they won't be using AI crap for serious projects

I think the main problem is a conflict of objectives. AI companies need you to use more tokens so they are not going to improve that. They are optimizing the models to get as close as possible to the point in which people would stop using t

I think that makes sense, but still, you would expect a hunter to know how to hunt. I'm talking about people losing their skills for the job they are supposed to be doing without gaining any new ones

Yeah that's a really good point. Good luck maintaining modern infrastructure without people that really understand it

That's an easy question. First, people will forget how to do anything and become highly dependent on AI. That's already happening. I already see people not able to finish their work without AI. Then, once everything has become a &

That makes sense. The downside is that now if said CA has some interests in whether to re-issue a certificate or not, we have a problem. Imagine that Cloudfare decides you are a bot and doesn't allow you to visit pages. You are going t

Agree on point 1. Now even tiny websites that wouldn't be a target for anyone are hiding behind Cloudfare. If you are so worried about people sending requests to your website then take it offline, that will get you 100% success prevent

I may speak from ignorance, but why do SSL certificates depend on centralized CA? If I'm an entity such as a bank, I should be able to sign my own certificate and provide the public keys to my clients which then can use it to both encr

The problem is not online banking. The problem is the banks we use. Accounting cash is extremely complicated and whether you like it or not, you will be forced to do an online transaction at some point. Are you going to be wiring money acro
