Programmable money is a useful feature and ETH has won that space. It doesn’t mean it’s not high risk or easy. The one hard fork was fine imo - it’s probably good to have an extreme case community fallback when there’s serious abuse. BTC is

BTC is simpler and more static which I think is an advantage for long term store of value. PoW also has advantages on that front too. I think the environmental concerns are generally overblown and don’t matter.

Lots of noise in the crypto space and the HN comments are always bad. BTC and ETH are the interesting and worth putting a small percentage of your holdings into (BTC [0] as an international store of value that has benefits over gold, ETH as

Yeah it’s wild how much of a vacuum exists in this market and how bad it is. I have the same webcam I also bought the lg meetup for a larger room and it sucks - it especially sucks considering the price. The Opal is a weak attempt to improv

Yeah - that was my read. They were helping him out and he wrote a stupid email, so they said fuck this you’re fired. Maybe part misunderstanding, but it was a dumb thing for him to do. That’s also taking this article at face value - I’d gue

The loan was paid back early and did exactly what it was supposed to do (incentivize alternative energy company creation). I think they may have even paid an early payment penalty to be done with it? So it wasn't a bailout at all. Spac

It also just seems ridiculous to try to separate Musk from the companies he's built. He's clearly a major factor in their success and it'd be stupid to remove him.

The double negatives in your first sentence are hard to parse. I think I agree with what you’re arguing though. Basically the scaling hypothesis.

1Password remains really great imo - people seem to use worse alternatives for ideological reasons but I don’t think there are any that are actually better.

Maybe where you went, but that definitely wasn’t the case in my CS degree. Code is really great and he’s a better teacher than most of the professors I had.

Yeah - agreed on 1, I disqualify it on that alone. Apple sets a high bar, but this doesn’t even clear a low one. Who would ship that? Does nobody else have any taste?

Your intuition is correct - it’s bullshit. — In the summer of 2019, we purchased a Molekule Air (the flagship model) and tested it. We bought an Air Mini that fall and tested it in February 2020. At the time we tested the Molekule Air, the

Brownian motion affects how small particles move around at small scales [0]. This is why HEPA filters can be effective even against smaller particles (which bounce around and get caught). Specifically about the Molekule - their claims seeme

I just setup tailscale yesterday to access a local urbit node and it’s seriously great! They really solved what has always been a major pain with local hosting and made it really easy to use. I ended up using NextDNS over pihole, but only b

I think the China lockdown situation is a magnitude more extreme (at least based on accounts from people in lockdown there on Twitter). People are not allowed outside of their units (only a couple per building to pick up deliveries). People
