Not really related. But as someone who has both pro licences for Grammarly and Pro Writing Aid, the latter outperforms by a long shot. Grammarly paid a lot more in advertising so became more synonymous in this space... But there are better

A little off topic but will Typescript support ever come to desktop Excel or is it just going to remain on the web version? Office Scripts are great but bit of a bummer I can only write them for web.

I just started writing Typescript in Excel. It's really surprising this hasn't taken off more. It works very well, but is only available on Excel Web (not Desktop) application.

Geez... I consider React already in the decline. It can get out of the way. There are much better options like Sveltekit and Vue now.

Also the ones on world radio history are searchable. They have a search feature on their website to search all their documents as they have all been OCR'ed.

Is what's worse is SharePoint has also introduced the term "library", which is really just a root level directory.

Yeah I agree... Front end web dev isn't particularly programming. Especially not "degree in computer science" programming. Unless something has changed in academics I don't think CS degrees are touching anything front en

I zone out too and thought it was just me. I think the problem is more that I don't use docker frequent enough so I have to visit the commands each time and do a refresher, which deters me.

Seriously curious what sort of IoT project needs 100mbit. How much sensor data can one be pumping out? I'd be more interested in latency.

I've looked into real life meetups numerous times but they always seem highly tailored to those just starting out in programming or electronics, rather than users deep in the weeds.

Going to reply on this comment since it's a thorough response to mine. Look; I'm seeing a lot of reasoning across comments from non-native language, keyboard input, autocorrect, and so forth. None of this changes the fact that the

There's only one thing I'm really interested in seeing and it's the org chart. I want to see how the company is structured and their manager to IC ratio. It tells me all I need to know.

I always gravitate towards projects that involve reading in tab delimited data, doing some sort of transformations (crud) or analytics, and writing the results back. You then quickly learn data IO, Data structures, looping, threading (big d

Zig community also bashes V to no avail. I definitely find them more toxic than Rust. The Zig Discord channel is very painful to witness.

All great points. Just to add... Any appliance that uses a blue LED screen (ie 7-segment display) is a total no from me. If they can't even get something as basic as that right, I can't trust anything else about the product.

Same reason I bought my Lamborghini... For that occasional time I need to get to the store real quick. But really it is mostly driven 30mph into potholes.

I also look at it from a liability perspective. I pay a marquee accounting firm such that big government will likely never second guess its accurate & legal. (And if they do I have recourse on the firm.) If you're making 6+ figures

I'm fairly new myself to web development, but have programmed desktop applications for nearly 20 years, and share your sentiments... I personally found good traction with Dart/Flutter and Svelte. Every other web based framework ha
