Looks good. On other suggestion I thought of, would be to put a QR code on the hosting screen. I was thinking it would be easier to use for a pub quiz/conference as it removes the need to enter the url. Host puts up their screen on a p

Yep Like articles with embedded twitter/reddit posts in them. Sure it gives a primary source for whatever topic/view you want to support - but aside from "one person might think this" is pretty irrelevant.

There's the original IT screw-up - but I think the body of the sory is around the ineptitude of the elected governor. Not specifically that he doesn't understand how the web works - more that he didn't care to find out before

I must confess, I hadn't actually read the 2nd half. Also that I'd mis-read the question - I'd assumed it was being played with one of the variations, but the variation being used wasn't shared with the participants. I w

Sadly I am. Although I'm idly just considering putting a magnet on the scan-head of a flatbed scanner. Could then just use tasker to detect the passing of the magnet as a 'page-down' scroll on the screen.

Well in that case, you just don't answer. Your buddy on the other side also wouldn't be expecting you to, so they'll just leave the game running indefinitely as well.
