Take a group of younglings and a control group. Separate them. Use a script to explain a problem to them, compare questions. Tell them to write down their own description of the problem, compare answers. No?

Here is a starting point that I've just typed up, this will help, I think: 0. Make less code. Define your problem-space in a new tooling-space, resulting in a new solution-space. 1. Sleep well, exercise regularly, eat sparingly and in

If you don't measure it, don't require it, it won't be there. Nobody ever asked "are you a proficient typer?" in an interview. And no one ever followed up with "show me".

The bigger the organization is, the more able it is to "promote" or segment it's workforce; and less likely to actually do any changes. The smaller the organization is, the more it is competent at what it's doing, the fa

The number one characteristic of uninhabitable software as above defined, in my experience would be the inability of people touching it to look past today, and past themselves. There is a degree of hack that should be unacceptable. If you&#

Are you under the impression you're worth spying on? Why don't you just Ctrl-Shift-F12 or something to lock it when you actually want that? I had bad experience with fingers as ID. Any spill on the scanner surface will disable it

On the one hand your list is not that bad. Could probably be satisfied. On the other hand it's 9 items. So comparable to mine. I don't think I'll be buying a laptop this year. Again. Nothing satisfies.

Get the largest screen you'll be comfortable to lug around. From using a lot of different laptops over the years, I find 14" to be the minimum useful, and 15" the maximum luggable sizes. For aspect ratio 5:4 is excellent, 4:3

On your first point, that is easy to measure, no? The effectiveness of the younglings at keeping up? On your second point, I think people care less about other people. That explains how you can be tolerable, no matter what they actually thi

They would be useless at jobs. So they won't get hired. So they won't get untethered financially from their parents. They wouldn't be interesting people. So they wouldn't meet someone. So they won't have children. T

I was very excited to try those at the store. Failed on glossy screen that gets punctured by a single grain of sand left on the keyboard. Speaking of which, the keyboard gets stuck by the same. So no.
