I have to say that to me (a non-native speaker, a youngling, a geek) there's nothing offensive about "who's going to take care of the kids". If I had kids and a working wife, then got asked that question in an interview -- I better know how

OP doesn't actually do regex parsing of HTML, so all is well. It does regular 'ol parsing, and uses regex to chunk html into consumables.

To both of you (sgdesign, justinph), yes design is 'how it works' as well as 'how it wears time and use' and 'how it breaks'. I did not just use two words--design and decoration--to mean the same thing. That would be almost as redundant as

I regularly see someone make a Python extension in Python and then rewrite the critical parts in C. It might have been made with this kind of process in mind.

Move close in but not with your parents, get a job, and learn programming -- it's very empowering. I had one of my friends over that is doing just that. Six months back when he started he was quite bleak, but now he's close to $0, and on a

I still think voice communication is a great idea, and mobile phones are failing hard at it. It's not about the quality of the call even, it's about the way people handle reachability, distraction and personal space.

I'm only 27 years old, but it is my firm conviction that 99% of stuff out there is utter shit. Not just mediocre, not just unnecessary, but genuine bollocks. And I think that's fine. It's important we try new things before we completely und

As current poll results indicate we're torn. On one hand, skimming the comments to see which are worth it to read is now denied. On the other hand, discussions seem to have improved, and more focus is on a comment's content and less on comm
