A lot of useful tips for sure, and it's good work. However, as a UI designer who has read (too many!) books on the topic, I wouldn't call this a book. It's 50 web design tips combined in a PDF. Probably better defined as a &q

As someone with a substantial (for me) amount of money in crypto, I'm happy Bitcoin is tanking. For many, crypto === bitcoin, and "the rest" is grouped together as "shitcoins". I totally get this sentiment, as 99% o

I experimented 5-6 years ago with a programmable metronome using KnockoutJS and realized quickly how easy it is to cause jitters and unpredictable performance on the main thread. I wish I had come across this post back then! Although a big

I get it. I was in the same boat, and played around with Vue and React for a couple projects, but since I've discovered Svelte, it's blown me away. It has the best of ALL worlds :) and it's super easy to use. Good luck!

I'm not so sure. It's a chicken egg problem: if developers get so frustrated that they suddenly start building great experiences on Linux, the users will flock there. It won't be a fast exodus, and it won't be clear cut,

Interesting to see KnockoutJS still being used in the wild! Cool game. Would like some more unexpected events to happen, and the Mortgage and Pension emails don't load, and neither does the "request valuation" of a bought pro

I guess it could be useful for simple DOM manipulation. The issue with it is, despite how great co-locality of concerns is, is that it can't EVER be separated. So I would use something like this if I wasn't using any framework a

I have to say Games Workshop and Starbucks are two easy examples, and say nothing about the underlying system of trust in a country. Games Workshop: a piece costs near nothing to them. It's just a piece of plastic. Makes a ton of econo

What's really going to cause is a stir is the equal pay for equal work movement. The more remote the workplace gets, the less it will make sense for employers to pay premiums just based on location.

No problem! When you go on a website that supports 2FA, it usually shows you a QR code to scan in order to setup a 2FA token. Just open 1Password to your current login and click on the tiny little QR code button. 1P detects it and adds it t

Yeah the QR code is not the special part. IT's the UX: 1 click and 1Password reads the QR code and adds a live authenticator code alongside your saved password, and auto-copies it to clipboard on mobile (and auto-pastes it in the 2FA f

Yes, in a way. But I find it so incredibly convenient it's actually encouraging me to enable 2FA on all websites that support it (and 1Password lets you know if the website does).
