Are you thinking of Typekit, maybe? Typecast is an app for typesetting web fonts, basically. It uses fonts from Google Fonts, Typekit, and I think a couple other webfont providers. It's not in competition with webfont providers at all. Alth

Yes, because a respectable company like Atlassian would risk their entire business to give a small boost to just one of their many products by dealing with black market botnets.

Time will tell, but this is beginning to sound like echos of Ion Storm[1]. We've already got our Deus Ex out of Mojang, though -- my girlfriend and I still regularly play Minecraft together -- so I can't really feel any enmity for them. [1]

It's not uncommon for griefers or cheaters to anonymously brag about their exploits via screenshot. If the screenshot were watermarked, identifying their account and whatnot, then Blizzard could take action against them.

According to Matt (and, apparently, his hacker) you're wrong; two-factor would have saved him in this particular instance: "If I had some other account aside from an Apple e-mail address, or had used two-factor authentication for Gmail, eve

I don't know as much about Korea, but Japan had plenty of pretty atrocious human rights violations of its own which it also recovered from. Yes, China is different. I'm just saying, "never say never".

Pinboard has been nothing but a pleasure to use, for me and those I've introduced to it. I have to say that Maciej's joyful, honest, and frequent engagement with his users is a big part of that.

IIRC from earlier blog posts, Maciej built at least a few of his servers by hand. I imagine he got sucked into the "beautiful details" he mentions needing to resist in this one. (I think he's also mentioned he's having them built for him, n

Even with that viewpoint, you could see this site as a positive and necessary thing. There really are girls who are deeply interested in STEM fields, but are discouraged by the apparent lack of female role models. In your view, they are bio
