Thanks for the clarification on the trademark vs. copyright. Can you license to Company A for $1 and Company B for $10,000? I'm wondering if there's any regulation in place to prevent such behavior.

When ever <insert big company> sues <insert little guy> over copyright infringement people usually defend <insert big company> with the "they have to protect their copyright or they may lose it". I was wondering, how

I've wanted to dabble in a few audio experiments myself, however I keep coming up short trying to find single sample tones for all the notes on a scale. Not sure exactly what to search for. Any tips for good source material?

I've been known to be brash and enjoy brash statements, but for an awareness cause it doesn't really resonate with me. Especially with copy like "let's declare this month Fucktember".. It really comes off, I dunno, immature? Seems like the

Perhaps the intent of my comment doesn't convey well. I'm not really trying to judge the quality of this challenge. Actually, I just thought it was interesting and was curious if my initial "obvious" solution would actually provide improvem

Tangent: I saw the "A Design Challenge" that the job submission should should include a document that addresses the issue. As each instance starts, it boots its AMI. That image includes a snapshot of the checked-out eBook repository as of

Some questions I never bothered to actually ask of my current banking system probably because I've known people that had accounts with them and have seen several branch locations but I'd like to ask of BankSimple. BankSimple is a bank accou

I was expecting copy like "lorem fucking ipsum" but this is even better. I like it for the cheeky service it is, my only concern is that with Ipsum you can tell its fake copy at a glimpse. If you start using dialog it may be easy to over lo

Wow, what an incredibly large step towards censorship. Considering that Metro is arguably half of windows 8, I see windows 9 not even having a desktop mode in which case you will be able to run no app that hasn't passed the censorship filte

Copy format has some play with this too. Interesting that in this particular case the section headings are anti-aliased but the paragraph texts are not. If you're not going to used anti-aliased you should pick a font that is not so rounded

For what it is worth, couple of things I regret about that post. I was terse, and the tone comes off arrogant. Mainly, my use of "You're" instead of "Your" which I'm usually careful not to mistake. I'd like to think those are the source of

People like pie charts. How do I know? Because they ask for them. You're analysis for why pie charts are inferior at conveying information compared to other forms of data presentation are thus moot.

This is an interesting statistic for another reason aside from de-anonymization, particularly directory listing applications. A lot of web sites have url's to access the user's profile page by their username. For popular sites, it's always

I assume everyone will agree with this statement, but I'll state it anyway: You can't cancel valid accounts! If the account is paid in full, and assuming the account isn't being used for nefarious purposes, you cannot cancel valid accounts
