"Fake news website" !== "Fake news" and Wikipedia is not the arbiter of all truth either.

Closer to 50/50. It was obvious to me a year ago he was going to win. Go watch some pre-election videos of literally any news channel talking about the "path to 270". There are some incredible delusions at play. They could no

You don't get to redefine fake news. I'm a huge fan of real journalism, and the ethics and integrity behind it. When journalists fail those ethics and report things they haven't vetted, that is not news, it's fake news.

HN is hilarious. This post went to +4 before it went to -4. Downvotes weren't supposed to be for disagreement, or so I thought...

No one said everything they do is fake news. I said it would be hard to have confidence in the data. Yuge difference.

February. False story about Carson dropping out. Their own "fact checker" lied about it. August. CNN edits footage of sister of man shot by Milwaukee police to make it sound like she was calling for peace. She was calling for riot

Because they keep publishing fake news, hiding inconvenient truths, and lying. They report any and all unverified anti-Trump rumors, no matter how ridiculous, but refuse to report fairly when legitimate accusations are made against others.

Even crazier, they don't buy more than one nights worth.. so they make a trip to the supermarket just for ice cream every night. (It's just a myth)

This worked very well on me, as I just bought one of their developer licenses for a pro package... Beautiful stuff.

A decade ago, I used it like this for years at work. PHP is/was an awesome CLI script language. I always felt this was one of PHPs stronger use-cases, but lesser known and not pushed anywhere. Node has taken this spot, for me, but I&#x

Twitter has been extremely heavy on censorship this year. Dozens of high-profile users banned, hundreds 'shadow-banned', and unbelievable levels of hashtag manipulation. Twitter is not in favor of free speech, on top of being a te

I read the article and don't think the premise was answered at all. Anyone get any value from it?

The author did this, and it's totally obnoxious. The point of the article is more to increase the authors brand than it is to teach you the obvious information it contains.

Ok, that's part of it. This line from the page is what gets me, "create server applications with Javascript but access and use Java libraries" and I think an example of that is very important.

Why don't any of the examples use Java?... Even the examples on GitHub, none of it looks any different than a Node.js project.

The same shit is happening here. Massive distortion of reality and epic-level propaganda on US media. We need to always be skeptical of the pushed narrative.

That's a shame. There must be some developers who just like building stuff and don't have something in mind. I did that a few times at Hackathons, paired with a designer or idea person and built their idea.
