I have been recently taking a break after a long hard project which took up most of my time. Now I pretty much do whatever I feel like from the start of my day. Luckily I have enough small, easy work to pay the bills while I figure out what

Thank you, this is a productive answer to the comments critical of paywalls.

The article mentions that Amazon is also on pace to be rivaling FedEx and UPS in total volume as well. It's interesting that Bezos' estimate of 5% of retail equals this much volume of packages.

Thanks for this. Could you provide more info about Monty? Maybe a link?

You're right. I edited my comment. I'm very new to this space and have a lot to learn.

I don't know why a link to this site would be on the front page of HN. Is there something more interesting about this DAW over the others? I happen to use this one myself though. I have found it to be relatively easy to use and one of

I actually don't have a credit card. I have a debit card and I use it for everything I can. I NEVER have to enter a PIN except at the ATM. Web based transactions wouldn't know if I physically had the card. The PIN requirement for

Good luck and I'm rooting for you! It's worth working through the mood issues. Keep it going. Think of it like detoxing from cigarettes or alcohol. You'll have those mood issues but it's worth it.

The clarity in my head overpowered everything. If I didn't get enough sleep, I still felt it. Again, it was a lot like being wired on coffee but without the uncomfortable side effects. I could feel the fatigue like I should sleep but w

There is always recourse, it's just my understanding that it's easier with CC companies. And when you get hit with a charge, it's not immediately hitting your bank account. You can get hit with the charge, dispute it and get

They're missing out on a useful feature of credit cards. If you get hit with a fraudulent transaction, you can dispute the charge to get it reversed. I have never tried this with a debit card, but the credit card companies make this mu

But we don't even need to eat sweet fruits. If you look at your plate size as a constraint, then fruit carries an opportunity cost. You're adding sweet fruit in place of something else which could add more nutritional value in tha

Maybe explain how it fits. All the books I mentioned were written about these people running or being placed at a high level in these organizations and making decisions which had a substantial impact on them. Does Scott Adams cover this in

I like books which are sort of lessons within a biography format. Points pulled from real experience. For me, this adds context and makes a book readable. If you don't learn anything, then at least you might get to read a good story. T

This is a life sentence which could impact your ability to support yourself. I imagine this could result in quite an impact on getting any job which requires driving. You should have options for getting this thing removed at some point.

Procedures are different in every state. You can get arrested if you are suspected of driving under the influence and then required to take a breathalyzer elsewhere. An arrest isn't a conviction. Police don't hand down these judgm

Saw this on Reddit. Seems to show a panel there which opens up. I don't think we can trust anything but the major bullet points making it to production though. This thing is a prototype and much of what we see could be up in the air.

I'm tired of curvy trucks anyways. Maybe it's a good time to go back to something more straight. I also like that the exterior can take such a beating. It doesn't make sense that a tough pick-up can get so easily dinged and s

You nailed it. Long distance driving as the norm. Modest incomes, but still driving expensive pick-ups. Gas is a major expense in this case. If you can save on electric, then this thing would be looking really good.

Right. People will spend 50K on a truck because it's a major part of their livelihood and then the gas will be a big burden. This could help a lot in those cases.

My bit about rural truck owners was more about demographic than power source. I have lived much of my life in rural areas of Idaho and Montana. The looks of this thing is NO problem. People will love it. But as a big life change, going elec

Yeah, it's like they took a Delorean, added an El Camino style bed and made the whole thing more rugged... and electric. Gas stations? Where we're going, we don't need gas stations!
