Isn't Linux support in libc++ still not 100%? I'm using libc++/c++14 on a new project and I love it! Much better than my last experience with c++ (c++98). I was worried about using libc++, but I recently found a great VPS pr

I think the widespread use of scipy/numpy is directly correlated. Python code is generally very easy to port, too, so I'm very happy when it's used for examples even though I don't "know" or write Python.

That surprise EURCHF move was the largest single day G10 currency movement since the gold standard was dropped in the 1970s. The main difference between this and bitcoin volatility is that this was the direct result of a central bank's

I'm thinking more in the context of modern "weight loss" theory. These articles are just more fuel for fat Americans, Brits, and Aussies who want a scapegoat for their weight and a shortcut to lose it. They will do anything

Reminds me of remote working. Some people claim it's bad, some people claim it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. There's pros and cons to each. People build successful companies with both methodologies.

Along these lines, are there any accelerators/funds willing to fund a solo founder? If not, this seems like a good opportunity for a company which can quantify the risk of solo founders.

If you assume (incorrectly, as science has proven) that the human body can metabolize 100% of the energy it consumes, your worst case scenario is your caloric intake. In practice, since you're not receiving 100% of that energy, you&#x

If I said "The Unabomber's Manifesto", fewer people would read it just because of the stigma attached to the name. On its own, it's a legitimately interesting piece of writing with salient points about the topic at hand

The post-WW2 baby-making bonanza is literally dying off. That's it. Japan's population is slowly returning to its equilibrium level.

Not just memory leaks... all the recent hacks/exploits are showing us that even the best people in our field can't write secure code in C/C++. You can reduce your attack surface substantially by using a language like Rust.
