This isn't a law, it was a voluntary agreement between the carriers to make all phones they (the carriers) sell have a permanent shutter sound. This was done to stop the moral panic due to "upskirting" on subways/etc.

No, they do not. Unfortunately, they are replacing them with the keyboard that your machine came with. Not the 2018 ones that have sort-of fixed the biggest issues.

At Penn, the track is not announced until just a few moments before the train begins to board. This is ostensibly because the platforms are too small for people to wait on them, but it also has the side effect of keeping crowds up in the wa

The process doesn't work like this anymore; now the copyright industry has to argue that the exemption should be removed and there are a narrow number of reasons why this could be done.

So this is another step for Apple to try to get everyone paying them their software development tax, since "notarization" requires you paying the $100 annual fee. While you currently can still run digitally signed software that is

Yes, but if you do not have a paid account Apple will only give you a certificate that is good for 7 days.

If you have never had a paid developer account your provisioning profile is only good for a week. This period used to be 30 days but was downgraded to a week sometime in mid-2016, if my recollection is correct. Apparently if you have had (o

You can't disable it installing new extensions behind your back without telling you, though. These are "system extensions" and you can't opt out of them.
