Does Decentraleyes cache fonts? Last I looked into it (b/c this extension makes using the web less broken from China) they didn't cache fonts: https://github.com/Synzvato/decentraleyes/issues/34 How

Errr, is there some example I can compile both into a Desktop app as well as Android app easily? I never got why we never got convergent Java apps that run everywhere... It's seemingly almost easier to do that with Qt than with Java I

I think it's confusingly worded b/c they compare to Swing and JavaFX in the first lines - so it sounds like this is aiming to replaces those. But in-effect this is just a first step towards that larger goal. Why the graphics libra

I wrote a JavaFX application in Clojure using CLJFX. It's fantastic and native-speed when you do things right https://github.com/geokon-gh/corascope/ I even managed to make a little SVG backend for it That sa

Well the core "issue" is they Vega ,as far as I understand it, isn't a format in the same sense as SVG is So you're creating a hard dependency on having to embed a JS run time. There is no other rendering backend. If you

Is there a good way to put a generator on the bike itself? To say charge a powerbank/phone? I have a crappy bike (no gears, tons of rust) and I have a bad habit of going as fast as it lets me good. However I honestly don't really

PPAs? You get the source and the build and it's all open... I mean, Launchpad could be modernized and brought to the 21st century but all the functionality is there. I'd love to hear arguments against it though :)

Yeah, that's the part I need to update :) It looks kinda intimidating but it actually ended up being not bad at all. The Hunter docs are just not great unfortunately. They're similar to the CMake docs - very terse and to the point

I really recommend people look into using Hunter to manage CMake dependencies. It's just a much more correct solution than the alternatives b/c your code and all your dependencies get built reproducibly with the exact same toolcha

Is there a reason why small aircraft don't just use a car engine (with some appropriate gearing I guess)? Those have had so much R&D in them and they're pretty much as efficient as you can get - plus much easier to maintain an

It's cool you linked a first hand source! But what are you trying to point out specifically? A quick look seems the list is rather reasonable and not very long. It's some "cultural heritage" stuff like tea, ceramics, etc

hmm, indexing and linking seem intrinsically different from hosting a direct copy of a website. You request a webpage, the server gives it to you. It seems reasonable that you can then look at it, inspect it, quote it etc. (like a newspaper
