They've been terrible for years. I yearn for the days when you'd look up "x video game review" and you'd get actual human beings with personal sites showing up, and opinions from random people. Now that SEO has been

These sites really bother me sometimes. I just registered on Dehashed and it requires me to pay for a subscription... to see my own stolen data. I reject that on principle alone.

In an attempt to do my part in killing AMP, I just disabled it on my Wordpress-hosted site. If you've got a Wordpress blog hosted on their servers, you can go to Settings > Performance and disable AMP completely.

The overarching issue with the modern internet is how "serious" it's become. It used to be a wasteland for the tech savvy. It didn't have to be grand or important. It turned a hang out at high school lunch into a white t

Putting it all behind yet another walled garden? Before you know it, 90% of the internet will be gated behind paywalls or signups.

Just set this up on my little side-project site, as I was curious if anyone was actually finding / using it. Wish I found this a month ago when I launched it! For anyone interested, the site is https://www.videogamesbyyear.c

I'm so happy we live at a time where we can go on Youtube and pull up footage from pretty much any concert they ever played - including ones that we've been to. Which is exactly what I'm doing now!

Same here man. I remember exactly the scene when I first heard them - Subdivisions it was. On a music video, on VH1, 1992. Spent the next decade and more listening to absolutely everything they did and would do. Happy to say I saw them in c

Holy shit. I've been listening to Rush since I was 5 years old and I always thought of these guys as immortal. Just.. wow. RIP to one of the most talented drummers and songwriters of all time.

Very cool. Despite all the sun I get (we live on a corner) it still seems like it would take literal decades to see any savings, and very little at that ($3K after 20 years? No thanks!) The issue seems to be how slanted my roof is.

And why is that? Is it because it's more people born.. that will consume meat? What a nonsense argument. "I won't inconvenience myself because it's not the BEST way to help the environment and the human race." In th

Here's the thing - you may not realize it, but your lifestyle of eating meat promotes _your_ diet on to hundreds of animals every year, and literally every human being on the earth via the environmental destruction it causes. When ther

Sweet Earth makes great plant based burgers. I try to avoid saying the phrase "veggie burgers" because it scares people into thinking of those frozen green hockey puck things of years past lol. But these days they are fantastic. L

It will be cheaper eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later. The only reason meat is as cheap as it is at the moment is because government subsidies on corn keep it that way. If we really paid the true cost including all of the water

Care to elaborate? Just to be clear, I was referring to no one caring (at least, the vast, vast majority) about animals killed for food. Else 98% of us wouldn't be meat eaters. What can be demonstrated to counter this?

The irony I see is that people suddenly care about animals being killed for no purpose. Regarding your #2, no, it is not a necessity to raise and slaughter animals. You can survive just fine on an entirely plant-based diet. It's detrim

Read the top comment here. Animal agriculture is extremely destructive to the environment, and unsanitary conditions in factory farms are par for the course.
