The official diagno tutorial is a pretty good start, followed by Tango With Django. That, combined with your previous experience + Django's documentation should be enough to get you going!

Thanks for making Django, and for setting such a high bar on documentation. My personal documentation standards are much higher in large part due to how beautifully well documented Django is.

Netflix has a lower rating (3.6) than Google (4.4) and Facebook (4.6) on Glassdoor. Obviously Glassdoor isn't completely reliable since anyone can write a review, but Blind is also subject to selection bias.

The tl;Dr of this article is to email a one time login link to your users instead of having them enter a password, similar to how you reset a password on most sites. The main reason sites don't this is because it's a bit user unfr

An even better question is why don't many grocery stores offer Blue Apron style meal kits? They could offer it much cheaper (while still getting better margins on them compared to regular groceries) and have them available for pickup.

Does it? There's a lot of competition in food delivery: Postmates, UberEATS, Caviar, DoorDash, Delivery.com, Grubhub/Seamless, and a few days ago I just heard of another one, EatStreet.

I've been really happy with Pythonanywhere, a PAAS (basically Heroku, but exclusively for Python). Pretty cheap, really easy to set up Django right out of the box, and great customer service (fast responses to emails and forum posts, e

Interesting. I've used several food delivery services (Caviar, GrubHub, DoorDash, Delivery.com, UberEATS, and a few local ones in my college town), and DoorDash has been the best customer experience for me.

I've thought about this in similar ways. The reason I don't use Blue Apron is because it's pricey--$10/meal when you're cooking at home isn't very affordable unless you're a lot of disposable income. But I

What's the intended audience for this book? Is it for someone well versed in JS who wants to get up to date with ES6, or more suitable for someone with programming experience who is a JS novice?

This is what Australia does, I think. Single payer public option, but you can choose to buy private health care as well (though you still pay taxes for the public option regardless). I'm curious to hear from any Australians about how t

I'm not sure what you're getting at--people don't complain about stocks increasing at that rate because they aren't negatively affected by that. When housing increased a rate that significantly exceeds that rate that wag

This post ( https://medium.com/@andersem/a-guy-just-transcribed-30-years... ) shows that, with a few blips, SF housing prices have been increasing at a fairly consistent 6.6% per year for the last 70(!) years, well above

Couldn't this run the risk of the company owning the IP? Even if it was after work hours and on your personal equipment, you're still using company resources (office space) for the creation of your IP.
