I grew up as a car enthusiast during the transition to things being computer controlled, and for car modifying purposes it was fantastic. Relatively simple to plug my laptop in, monitor air fuel ratios, make adjustments as I see fit. Didn&

Many of us believe that Internet or not will have basically no impact on this question of turning Russians against Putin. I have lived through the entire life of the Internet and seen only the exact opposite things happened that we all expe

The logical conclusion of this argument is that no negative action can be taken against a state, as said negative action might later be taken wrongly in the future. Thus we have to just let Russia invade Ukraine and kill everyone there.

It is a video memory problem. Unified memory is nice but you need GDDR6 to feed a powerful GPU. But you don't want GDDR6 for the cpu.

GPU claims at carefully chosen tasks that don't need GDDR6 to get top performance. It wouldn't game like a 3090 for instance, but then not many people are gaming on macs anyway.

When going for serious global scale stuff you put the panels in sunny places and run gigantic cables to the places it isn't sunny. Again, possible to do but massive scale infrastructure projects that take time, money, and political wi

And hydrogen comes with it's own challenges, as a large % of energy is lost in the conversion to and from. This multiplies how much solar you need appreciably. There is no easy solution here, many hard ones. We can do it but need to be

Because people correctly point out that if you had literally 100% solar (or near it) the amount of battery you would need is of completely impractical scale in even the medium term future. More reasonable approaches would include many mass

Hydrogen is one of many available solutions. Don’t make the mistake of getting too focused on one thing. Anyway the USA will have have such a percentage of solar any time soon that we need the more radical solutions imminently, though now

I would love one as well, but at 43 years of age I have seen so many weird, eco car ideas come, and none of them take off. Then Tesla came along and offered a big, powerful EV and everyone went wild. There is a lesson there.
