Yeah, pretty much. There are lines between other cities but they are usually serviced by slower regional trains rather than TGVs. Unless you're traveling to a neighboring city you'll probably have to wait for transfers too.

The goal is deterrence, not inflicting pain. If speeding fines where set at $3 people would probably just treat them as a cost of traveling. To someone very wealthy current fines may essential be that. Jail has both the purpose of deterrenc

If you don't target EU customers and you don't have an EU presence, sure. Other businesses who want to be GDPR compliant might not be able to use your service either.

I think that only applies to the US. My credit card has a PIN. You don't need it for contactless payments but they are limited to €30.

I've never heard of any airline overbooking here in Europe. Yet they seem to manage just fine. In fact Ryanair (a budget airline) has a bunch of flights advertised for around €15 ($16~ USD)...

You could use a business bank account with an associated debit card. Continue accepting PayPal but only use it as a processor and transfer funds to your business account regularly. This also makes it easier to have multiple payment methods,

Small businesses don't need to build complex systems to respect the law. If someone wants their data they can ask for it by email. The business can then manually gather the data from their databases and send it as a ZIP, PDF or whateve

Basic income would only cover essentials such as shelter and food. While some people would choose to work because they enjoy their jobs, many would work to be able to buy a nice car, dishwasher, TV and other non-essentials. Unpleasant jobs

No, what I meant was that University of Reddit is not an alternative to StackExchange. University of Reddit is for learning new skills, kind of like Khan Academy, Coursera, Udacity, or a real University. StackExchange sites are for solving
