Outside of the population changes the republicans also seem to be gaining popular support for their progressive agenda. Their positions on issues like marriage equality and women's rights make them more aligned with younger voters than

While the official reason for the border closure was unrelated to Brexit, stockpiling before the deadline certainly worsened the situation.

There have been a bunch of fines and sanctions imposed on the various leave campaigns but as far as I can tell they are mostly due to technical violations such as spending over the limits rather than the content of the messages. That number

Massive bailouts are fine apparently. I'm sure the cyclical recessions that require repeated government intervention are because free market economy isn't free enough. Any notions to the contrary can only be communist.

Stakes are definitely needed to make things interesting. You could try setting up your own game with friends. I've avoided regular online play because it really is a rabbit hole! https://www.pokernow.club/

I'm guessing it's using static hosting so server side rendering is out of the question, but if you wanted to make it work without JavaScript a static site generator could be used to avoid having to maintain 200 list items manually

The notion of the government being some abstract external entity is really strange to me. Some consenting adults don't have the power to negotiate fair transactions so we, as a society, can use our collective bargaining power to define

For security reasons, contactless card payments are limited to small transactions and can only be used a certain number of times between chip and pin transactions. Since it lacks a second authentication factor the compromise is to limit how

I'm not arguing against IPv6, just explaining how IPv4 can be easier to use.

It's a minor detail, but an IPv4 address is easier for humans to use. It's easier to read, type, remember, share over the phone or even just plan with in a spreadsheet.

The vast majority of consumers don't know or care about IPv6. There seems to be more competition here in France than in the US but while I've previously used ISPs with IPv6 support my current one does not. Even as someone who pref

Regarding JavaScript, either you avoid manipulating dates and just pass them to the server in ISO format, or you use a library like Moment.js. The native API's are a disaster and using them is just asking for trouble!

Exactly, the issue is enforcement. GDPR is actually quite clear and logical on the notion of consent. Implicit consent is implied for anything essential for a service, everything else has to be opt-in.

It's clear that some of the language we use needed to be changed, the previously used terms for primary and secondary hard drives are an obvious example. It seems to me that the notions related to black and white have broader cultural

The UI might not have major aesthetic problems but they could probably be more consistent between services. I think you might have hit the main issue on the head though, unless you use a service regularly it's difficult to do much with

That's the point isn't it? Until individuals take the necessary precautions and businesses provide their employees with safe working conditions the only reasonable course of action is to limit social interaction. The shutdown isn&

Exaggerated maybe but not ridiculous. A persons right to pursue happiness does not trump other people's rights to do the same. Willing spreading an infectious virus is not an act of nature.
