Man, there's so much stuff I want to do but don't have time for. I can't imagine retirement being so dull that I would go back to corporate work.

When the company I work at decided to become "agile", it all went to hell. Every "innovation" just makes it more and more miserable to work there. Standups are a real pain, and I have yet to see any value whatsoever fr

It's not "beneath" them, but it's an entirely different skill set. If you want me involved, approach me like a partner and we can work together, don't try to suddenly give me a job I can't do.

Our company is trying to move to "devops" and having dev teams on pager duty, doing manual reporting, etc. They seem surprised at the amount of pushback from the devs.

After several management shakeups, the editors went off onto some weird tangents with video segments, allowing off-topic posts, and paid content masquerading as stories. That's when I quit. Why did you stop?

I guess servers have gotten a lot more robust in the last decade...there's no way any server I ever managed would survive something like that.

It's difficult to "commit" to something that is clearly and utterly wrong.

Fadi Chehadé was CEO until March 15, 2016. Ethos Capital was founded in May of 2019, 3 years after he stopped being CEO of ICANN.

No. If it had something you needed, and that you could only get from Windows, you'd be using it already. Any shop that can make use of an alternative pretty much already does, and would have no reason to switch.

I used to love browsing book stores. But over the years, the subjects that I was interested in got less and less shelf space, and today it's just not worth even going.

Are you the only person working there? Did no one else say anything about this? It seems impossible given the huge backlash that absolutely no one at Triplebyte stood up and said "this is a mistake".

I just don't trust people in general...it has nothing to do with the team. I've been stabbed in the back too many times for trusting people to do the right thing.

Apple can share the blame, because they didn't test the app like they should have to verify that the app was in fact compatible with the hardware the dev claimed. Or maybe the dev did everything right, but Xcode had a bug. But mainly,
