As I was going through the list I still don't feel any sympathy for these bankers. The whole idea of budgeting for the majority of people is to make do with seemingly limited resources. It's what everyone does to manage their own money. Why

Perhaps this was the same crazy guy who spat on Michael Arrington recently. I think we have a rogue entrepreneur running around, driven mad by trying to get his product off the ground.

Your crazy aunts don't necessarily need to be religious to ruin dinner parties. Many of my family Christmas' have been ruined by drunken dancing old women :)

Another similar story is about John Lasseter (one of the founding members of Pixar, who is also responsible for drawing the BSD daemon) was fired from Disney after trying to introduce 3D technology into their animation pipeline. He never g

The notion that it is impolite to discuss politics and religion is a staple bit of folk wisdom dispensed by parents, grandparents, various other elders, and barkeeps the world over. ...but it's not a universal piece of folk wisdom. In fac

Hey pg, here is at least one situation that entirely backs up your theory. I'm not a Freemason, but one of the rules of Freemasonry is that politics and religion are NOT to be discussed while within the lodge. This is done in part so that n

How is the Church "ignoring science"? Well how about the continual opposition of safe practises (condom use) even when they've been scientifically proven to help increase the quality of life for the general population (prevention of STD t

I know this will be voted down, but the catholic church will ignore science because it threatens their very existance as an organisation. To put it into terms that are less dividing (religion does that), here is a scenario that happened a f

Well I'm about 14 hours ahead of east coast USA - I usually get to stories about 6-8 hours after they've started and my comments can most often be found down the bottom of threads and due to "group think" thats where they stay. The other th

Except that getting karma points is more difficult for people who comment/post in offpeak times (like on the other side of the world), so this system can essentially penalise them.

With Google's Latitude, I might finally learn where on earth Carmen Sandiego is. This might make http://www.wherethehellismatt.com/ redundant, if you know where he is all the time. Mixed feelings about this Google, mixed feelings indeed.

For every argument that states that something will "Never" happen there will always be exceptions to blow their theories out of the water. Here is one such case. In the 3D modelling software world, Maya by Autodesk is arguably the "best" 3D
