I'm from Iowa and remarked to a friend how nice Wisconsin is, with rolling hills and trees. Iowa is absolutely filled with agriculture. I've thought about what it does to animals and plants. With vast cropland, how could a limited

A personal pet peeve of mine is misunderstandings of how taxes work. I'm not sure if you're misunderstanding, but I do want to clarify. They can certainly take a deduction for some money they wouldn't be able to collect succe

I agree. Just this morning I messed up and saved over a spreadsheet I didn't mean to...no way to get that 30 minutes of work back. Probably 90% of my day is jumping between spreadsheets and queries building tools and updating reports.

I did this when I started my first full time role out of college with great success. I was responsible for tons of reports that were manual and tedious. My goal was to improve something about the process every time I did the report. It c

It'd be interesting if Blender had an interaction recorder for tutorials, which could be turned on and off as desired. The user would make and record a tutorial entirely in blender, and an interaction text file would be saved. When a n

PowerQuery is integrated into excel, gives a visual editing platform (not purely code), and is quite powerful in terms of linking up to any datasource, manipulating data, and giving you the output you need. All the steps are listed on the r

There was just some discussion about this on /r/RealEstate. Apparently a 60 hour class and a multiple choice exam are all that's between you and a real estate license. I had no idea the threshold was so low.

Matt Levine does a great job writing, and I highly recommend his newsletter. He talks extensively about the weird things that happen in the finance and hedge fund world, such as Windstream botching a bond and getting called out on it years

Unless there's a weird provision I'm not aware of, you could be over representing the value of the deduction. The best thing for the doctor is to get paid (and pay taxes on) $400. The $300 deduction is of no value to them because
