You can disable SIP if you want. You can run whatever you want on your machine. Disabling SIP is indeed a security risk… then again, so is running something as root. Having a Mac w/o SIP is no more a security risk than having a Linux w

Interesting. For the GAFAM yeah, I got those. But for banks, in my country at least, I’m not sure they are even allowed to use passkeys. Instead we have a glorious numerical keypad where we have to manually click on the keys and the keys

Where do you have so many sites asking for passkeys? I’m desperately trying to have more but I have ~1.1k passwords in my password manager and only 63 passkeys!

Personally I love passkeys and think it’s not deployed enough. It works great (for me anyways!) and it is SO MUCH better than “login with email” that is everywhere now.

Passwords and passkeys are in the iCloud keychain. You can technically save passwords in the login keychain (not sure about passkeys), but if you’re using the Passwords app it will be in the iCloud one.

Yeah I have Infuse only, and am happy with it. No need for jellyfin or whatever else. Honestly Infuse may be one of my best app purchases of these past 10 years…
