I had a similar emotional reaction to the boat. I don't know the first thing about yacht design so I'm really out on a limb here, and I don't think I would go so far as to say "ostentatious" or "gaudy" although there were a few things that

Props for putting a compelling spin ("WWPGD") on a rather mundane function (searching a back catalog). Marketing FTW! :-)

There is definitely room for innovation in the blog tools/publishing/server space, the big question for you to be comfortable with is whether or not the space is big enough for another player. I launched a new blogging platform in the early

That's actually not the case. Godaddy implements this locally, and arguably in contravention of the ICANN policy. oBDisclaimer: I participated in the development of the original and amended ICANN transfer policy. I understand that there has

RIM is spending a lot of time designing an OS that will appeal to everyone. I think they are going to find its going to be used by no one. Even here in Canada they are losing core enterprise customers left and right. Without these core supp

Guy worked at Apple for four years. In the eighties. I think his opinions on IOS are about as important as mine. Or yours. Well, maybe a bit more than ours, he worked there for 4 years. In the eighties.

Some day I'll understand the real connection between what I write and how people mod it. I was really just trying to say that I didn't think at all that it was a very readable document and that if you read through it, the whole "Starts with

I couldn't agree more. We're in Toronto and I'm often left scratching my head asking "Why" after reading Techcrunch, HN and other startup-centric sources. If you aren't solving a problem for a customer, then you are wasting effort. Problems

Let me think about some ideas for #2, re: #1 and #4, I only know of maybe 5 cyclists in all my circles of cycling mates that use power (out of probably hundreds) and power meters always cost $2k every year the same way a great bike always c

There's definitely an opportunity to disrupt in this segment, although focusing on power is going to substantially limit your market appeal. For example, I'm a record holding cyclist and I've never trained power.
