debian 13 is using kernel 6.12 vs ubuntu 24 6.14. I don't think it's a kernel issue, and more that amd drivers aren't there yet for the new hardware. running the latest also is problematic, i.e. a new kernel upgrade that blow

Well since FreeBSD is pulling ZFS source from Linux, I am not certain what are the rough edges. And I have ran ZFS for 7+ years on Linux with zero issues.
