I guess they're betting on it being bought by Alphabet.

Having turned 30 and watched a lot of movies, I have a similar feeling. I still pay for Netflix (even if I only use it a couple times a month) and look forward to movies, like the upcoming Dune, and occasionally rewatch some of my favorites

I'm not sure price is the parameter to compete on for email services, at least for me. Email is extremely important to most businesses, and if I'm already paying for a domain, and running a business, even the $70 for a Workspace

The thing is, computers with SSDs feel about as fast as computers were with HDDs 12 years ago. Some apps still take 10 seconds or more to load on brand new hardware in 2021. There shouldn't be any random wait times in daily usage. Sure

I've always found password manager browser extensions to be finicky and brittle. They never really seem to work all that good, and as the author writes, the security is bad. I much prefer just copying the credentials from another appli

Glad to hear it. One of the goals was to make it as easy as possible to get started with.

I'm not sure about that, I can't remember having experienced it. I also think it's dependent on the region.

As businesses start to realize microservices aren't really worth it due to the complexity and cost it entails, they will start reverting back to hosting monoliths on VMs or services like Heroku/Netlify/Laravel Forge/Bean

I don’t think Apple will grant them the entitlement now that they have made a public blog post complaining about it. They don’t like that at all.

Perhaps other laptop manufacturers would be intersted in knowing how Apple's future machines are built, to give them a competitive edge. I could imagine accessory and case manufacturers would be keen to know about the form factor of fu

Like most of the problems EU has tried (and failed) to solve with legislation, like cookie laws, this is an issue that is already entirely solved by the client. If you don't like having external images in your emails, most clients thes

It's outraging because it should be a single click, and there should be no need to go through this ordeal. Incidentally, NYT can make it easy. I'm in Europe and canceled my NYT subscription last week – it was really easy, just a

I really like the authors philosophy. Too many developers use a bunch of tools, and you get the impression that it's just for the sake of tooling, or because that's how you're expected to do things. You can keep scaling a sin

Interesting that you seem to have the complete opposite experience of me. By the way, on my Discovery tab, I can scroll down a bit and click on Pizza to get a list of places that deliver pizza.

Yes, Apple's current lineup is a little confusing. The 13" Pro and 13" Air are so similar, and almost the same weight. I still use a 12" MacBook, and it's just amazingly small and light. If Apple makes a 12" Ma
